2019 has been slow, when it comes to gaming, but that laziness is about to come to an abrupt end. It's the day before one of the most anticipated releases in the last ten years (referring to KH III originally not realizing that the 25th is only the release date in Japan) and the gaming world seems to be holding its collective breath. Kingdom Hearts III marks the beginning of what promises to be a frantic year in the gaming world, one filled with too many titles and and too few hours to finish them. KH will be followed quickly by Crackdown 3 and Anthem and those are only the beginning. It's as if every major gaming title is coming out with the next iteration this year, and it has gamers (like me) simultaneously excited and stressed. How are we going to find the hours in the day to play all of the titles we want, and how are we going to clear the budget to buy them all? This will always be the gamers struggle, trying to find a balance of time, money and other life events that take president over the games we so desperately want to play. With all that being said, let's remember that it's all for the joy of the game. Don't get overwhelmed by the "need" to play a specific game, instead get excited about the opportunity to play the games you want to play. The pressure is definitely there to play everything, especially when everyone in your community is. Don't give into the pressure, play what brings you joy and ignore everything else (or read the ign spoil filled summary). 2019 is going to be fantastic, let's not ruin it by trying to cram too much into our schedules/budget. After all, you might have to buy a new console at the end of the year (all eyes on Sony here). Let me know what games you are most looking forward too, and the ones that you feel the most pressure to play but have very little true interest in. Happy gaming everyone!
